Hidden Nikon Z Feature Tip - Focus Point Border Width
Today we are talking about a very powerful, somewhat hidden feature in Nikon Z cameras. Found in the custom menu, Focus Point Border Width gives you 3 different stroke thickness options to use for your focus point display. This can make the focus box much easier to see if you are shooting in bright, high glare or contrast situations and can make manual focus much easier.
Z50ii and Z5ii shipped with this feature
Zf requires firmware 2.0
Z8 requires firmware 2.0
Z9 requires firmware 5.0
On the ZF, Z50ii, and Z5ii, you can find this setting in Custom > a10 > focus point border width
On the Z8 and Z9, it is under a11 instead
In the video I show examples of the 3 settings, and I encourage you to play with the 3 thicknesses to see which works best for your eyesight.
