Just another Utah morning

There’s this thing about living in Texas in your whole life (and other flat states, I would assume) where, when we find ourselves visiting a place with a totally different landscape, we wonder how anyone who lives there could get tired with views like this…yet, when you talk to locals, they say that after a while, it just blends into the background of their day.

I just don’t buy it.

This field is tucked into a valley near Logan, Utah, along the Wasatch Range. This was one of those scenes that made me pull over and shoot…the morning light was breaking just right over another range to the south, lighting up just the snowy tops of the Wasatch as cows grazed below, oblivious to the views like so many desensitized locals.

Maybe it’s for the best I reserve these places for travel so that they can consistently wow me!
